Aylo, Woodhull Freedom Foundation to Host 'Online Censorship' Event

MONTREAL — Aylo and Woodhull Freedom Foundation will co-host a virtual panel addressing online censorship on Sept. 30.

The event, “Navigating the New Age of Online Censorship,” marks the second in Aylo’s collaborative community panel series focused on issues impacting sex workers. Discussion topics will include recent legislation, the SCOTUS decision on age verification laws, and real-world strategies for staying safe and compliant.

The panel will be led by Pornhub VP of Brand and Community Alex Kekesi and Woodhull Freedom Foundation President and CEO Ricci Joy Levy. Panelists include performer and activist Siri Dahl, Free Speech Coalition Director of Public Policy Mike Stabile, and producer and intimacy coordinator Allie Oops.

“As the landscape of online censorship rapidly evolves, it’s more important than ever for our community to stay informed and empowered,” said Kekesi. “We’re committed to supporting the adult industry in navigating these challenges and protecting the rights and livelihoods of sex workers everywhere.”

Added Levy, “Protecting sexual freedom means defending our rights to speak, learn, and connect online — even as the rules of the internet keep shifting. Since our founding in 2003, Woodhull has stood shoulder to shoulder with the adult industry and fought for the rights and safety of sex workers everywhere. We’re proud to continue that legacy by working with partners across the field to safeguard expression, empower communities, and keep human rights at the center of every conversation about online spaces.”
